Joseph Hughes — Restoration Associate

Joe Hughes is the Restoration Associate for the Yuma office. He joined the team in September of 2013. Joe received a B.S degree from The University of Montana in Resource Conservation with an emphasis on watershed hydrology. He has since had a diversified carrier in ecological and biological conservation throughout the West. In cooperation with The Colville Confederated Tribes Joe oversaw the implementation and participated in the 2013 baseline environmental survey quantifying plant diversity and densities across the 2,100 sq. mile reservation. He has also worked with the University of Montana studying passerine bird life history strategy's in North America. While working closely with the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area Joe designed timber stand treatments to improve watershed health and viability while implementing a more historic fire regime. As an avid outdoorsman and lifelong naturalist Joe brings a passion for water and its natural systems to FPC.
